I love this coat/hoodie. I added my own patriotic patches to the arms and I love it. It’s a fantastic coat for the winter. I’ve found myself sweating in it 40 degree weather when being very active. As of today it’s 21 degrees outside and it keep me warm perfectly. The material is just like that of a Dickies coat. The pockets are fine. They aren’t insulated in the front but that doesn’t bother me. I tried quite a few jacket/coats and this one is fantastic. I highly recommend it.

After months of research. This outdoor coat was the winner for me. After considering the price and amount of time that I will be spending outside. I decided to purchase this coat. This coat is definitely not for stylish wear. It’s bulky but the interior fabric feels very comfortable. I’m 5.7 and 145 lbs. the medium fits a little loose. Enough room for a hoody or any vest to wear inside. There is enough room around the pit area that the whole jacket doesn’t ride up if you lift your arms up. Definitely a plus on that. Overall the coat isn’t for extréme cold but for a decent cold weather it will do justice. I tested the coat under rain yesterday and it does have some kind of water resistance. The inside was not wet and it dried up faster under a heater. Not sure how well it will hold up under big rainstorm. The wrist balls up lot of lints after a week. That’s a minor issue for me.

Since Carhartt stopped most domestic production, and starting making huge huge oversized lower quality clothing i needed a change. I have had 4 older carhartt's from the late 90s that i wore every day to work for years and years! They were great, tough and wore true to size! I was always a medium so never had a sizing issue. Since then i looked at the newer ones and could not believe how huge they are. Not only that but they have lousy components such has buttons, stitching and zippers.Long story short i looked at all the leading competitor's products and walked away with an uneasy feeling not buying any. The Berne jacket was true to size but the arm lengths were 4" too long, and the pockets were shallow and the elastic around the waste was overly tight making the chest and belly area puff out!.The dickies was just flat out cheap. It looks cheaply made and the duck shell was low quality. I dont even want to continue talking about it cause they too have fallen victim too overseas corporate buyouts.C.e. Schmidt the tractor supply brand was basically the same as the dickies but for some reason fit and finish was a little better quality. I did not care for the zipper as it is weak. I think this may sound strange but it lacks identity and charisma that i believe carhartt used to possess. It was just an ok jacket that may give you a couple hard years of workWalls bomber hoodie jacket(sherpa lined) i think could be a potential "decent" jacket. It reminded me honestly of a polished up dickies jacket... Here to find out they are owned by dickies and manufactured in the same offshore plant. I was turned off by it all cause Walls was a great american company at one time.Enter Dri duck. Could not find in stores so i took a gamble and ordered one on amazon. I ordered my usual medium and when it arrived i was shocked at the heft of the package thinking here we go again...another jacket 3× too big. As i began to open it i was impressed by how soft the duck shell was. Very Finely brushed and broken in, yet reeks of toughness...very unique qualities. Upon putting on it was apparent that the jacket was perfectly proportioned in its length, width and sleeve dimensions. The flannel lining is soft and feels of quality. The stitching that secures the flannel and polyester filling is TIGHT! With no loose threads. Shocked! I then zipped up the big zipper and realized it was shockingly similar to the old usa carhartt's of the pre 2000's. It zipped up perfect and shows heft and quality. The cuffs and waist and excellent, Not too tight and not to loose. I am able to raise my arms and the sleeves or waist do not rise. The hood is perfectly sized and not bulky at all, could accommodate a hefty hat plus hood just fine as well. The inner lining of the sleeves are nylon and provide easy putting on and taking off task. This is truly an "active" jacket that is true to size.To sum this up i believe we have a company that is dedicated to quality as evident in the Cheyenne jacket. This jacket has all the qualities of the old usa Carhartt's without the badge and premium price. This jacket has " identity" and "charismatic" qualities not found in the land of Dickies and company. Dri duck is now all i will where for our cold northeast Ohio winters. Buy it... You wont regret!

My husband said if he could he would rate this a 10 star for water resistance, comfort and warmth. He has had the jacket for 3 1/2 years now (since oct. 2016) and it has held up like no other. He works 40 hours a week at a major tree company and it has held up through it all. He is from Florida and moved here to Kentucky about 10 years ago. Usually he starts avoiding the outdoors when it hits 40° but last year he worked in negative temps in this jacket and said it kept him warm enough to get through the day without any issues. It gets used daily in brush, with chainsaws and all of the other hazards and is still going strong. I just recently had to do a little sewing around the wrist area for a few holes starting but otherwise its in amazing condition. We are buying a second one today because he has become so much broader since this purchase but I imagine he will be keeping his old one as well. Well worth 2x what we paid for it.

I’m 6’4” 350 lbs. I would normally order 4xlt, but with that not available, went with 5x due to wanting a roomy fit to layer clothes underneath. I wear a 38” sleeve dress shirt and wanted to make sure I was covered there. Getting the next size up was a good call. 4xlt would’ve been perfect, and 4x likely would’ve sufficed, but I’m happy with the room 5x gives me. The material is sturdy and comfortable. The hardest work I will do in it is taking my dog out on cold days, but I feel it would really hold up to harder tests. Hood is perfect.

Ordered in field khaki color and love it. XL fits perfect for me at 5'11" 250lbs. The jacket has elastic around the waist and wrists so it's comfortable to wear while working. Also has an inner pocket for a smartphone or gloves, etc. Feels like it would be good for weather as low as 15-20 degrees. Below that, you might want to wear a hoodie underneath.

well nice jacket turned out to be to big on me. I bought a pioneer jacket in same size it was much smaller then this one. so if you buy this jacket buy the right size. if you buy pioneer jacket you need to buy 3 sizes bigger still mite be to small unless you built like body builder

Rugged weighty jacket! At 5'10" 240 XL regular length fits right on the money, not too short and not too long! Included size chart for these jackets from Dri Duck website! Numbers on chart equate to circumference around the chest and back in inches.

This jacket is perfect for me. I tend to be hard on my clothes this jacket is very tough for half the price of their competitors. I would definitely recommend.
