This jacket was bought for a gift and is a big success with the giftee. It looks great on and has that casual- to-dressy air that means he can wear it anywhere. It also got me a ton of brownie points for finding it on Amazon.

I used to have one of these but lost it a few years back. I just moved to the mountains and have been looking for warm outdoor clothes so I ordered a new one. This jacket is nicely insulated with a waffle like knit on the inside. It keeps me pretty warm (and I’m a freeze baby). As far as the price point, I think it may be a little excessive for the overall quality of this jacket. My old one wore holes in the sleeves and at the bottom with about a years worth of moderate to heavy wear. I’m hoping this one holds up better.

I have a 20 year old version of this, with the “used to be” white lining. Wore it anytime I couldn’t wear a full winter coat. The cuffs and pockets started to fray and I took a chance at this one. It seems a tiny bit smaller than my old one, but perhaps it’s not stretched out from years of wear. It’s the exact weight - nice but not bulky. The lining seems the same, but grey, which does look classier. The hood, as others have mentioned is larger, but now it easily slips over any sort of hat which is helpful. It’s not so big my head gets lost, but the difference is noticeable. I think I prefer the bigger hood for the flexibility of wear and that I can pull it around my face when it’s really cold. The zipper seems beefier, but I never had any issues with the old one. Overall, I wanted an exact copy of my old version and this is very close. Just like an old friend. Hopefully they never stop making these!

I am very pleased that I found this Dickies thermal-lined jacket! I have used a similar Carhartt one for the past 25 years (which is amazing, don't get me wrong!) but after 5 new zippers, 3 sets of new cuffs, and who-knows how many seams re-stitched, I was desperate to replace my favorite jacket. I cannot stand the satin/polyester/"rain-resistant" shelled jackets, or their faux sherpa and fleece linings that most other brands have switched to long ago. I think I willed my old jacket this past 10 years to "make it just one more year." Dickies has done a great job with this jacket and does everything my old jacket did. It keeps me warm, but never too warm. I can wear it both indoors and outdoors without ever having to unzip the zipper. The hood is more than generous so you could easily fit a sock hat or hardhat underneath it without causing fit issues anywhere else on the jacket. I am planning on buying at least one more of these now that I have found them! I highly recommend these jackets!

At first feel, it seems like a quality product, and warm. The fit leaves a little to be desired, if you prefer athletic fit, but that is a personal preference.Importantly, the size chart recommended a large for my 44 inch chest. It was ridiculously large. Medium fits well,..a little on the large size, but giving room for shrinkage. I anticipate a good fit after a few washes.

My husband saw this jacket at Wal-Mart last year but missed the chance to buy it but glad we found it on Amazon. He is a tall but average built guy (6'2), but we weren't sure how the tall/big size would fit and was worried might be too baggy so we got the large. He wears a large in everything else without too much of the bagginess issue.. my first impression was that this jacket was a bit short and baggy, but he likes it and I like how it is thermal lined, unlike most fleece jackets that wear out the fluffiness inside over time. This jacket will definitely keep him warm without too much bulk or weight.I was concerned about how some reviewers said that this jacket shrinks. Well it is in the nature of this type of fabric to shrink if you use warm or hot water to wash it and also throw it in a hot dry cycle for a prolonged period. The instruction label says machine wash cold and tumble dry low. I do have a low dry setting but went with my instinct to just air dry.Best way to wash this jacket is to zip it up, flip it inside out to preserve the smoothness of the outside fabric, wash it with other dark colors (without optical brighteners; may fade the black to a weird blueish green color) in COLD water, on GENTLE or PERMANENT PRESS cycle. Then once done washing, take it out and smooth it out over the back of a couch or the top of your bed and let it dry. Flip it over after a couple hours and flip it inside out again so the other side will have time to dry. It's not that hard guys and it will keep your jacket looking new and unstretched/shrunk.I don't recommend hanging on the hanger to dry unless you want a stretched out shoulder look. And if you can't wait a few hours to a whole day for this to dry, then try putting it in low dry cycle but take it out half way or when almost dry (where cuffs and hood will probably feel a bit damp) and then let air dry.

Lightweight, but the thermal lining gives you that extra warmth without having to wear a heavier jacket. Very comfortable and well made as Dickie products are known for. This is my second one, I bought a third one for my grandson but he is 6'7" and the tall size still wasn't long enough for him because he wears his pants low and that's not Dickies fault, but they took it back with no problem. I gave the first one to a male friend who really likes it easy to grab to go outside or store and I wore it a few times so I bought one of my own. I'm thinking of getting more colors.
